The concept for the psychological thriller A Boy Named Bellamy is originally modeled from the mind of Director of Photography Israel Arias. As well, his obsession and fear of his childhood memories. At a young age Israel grew terrified of stuffed animals after embodying several imaginary friends into each one and ultimately getting them taken away by his parents. His anger manifested as a child and to this day he can only recall little snipits of his childhood. A boy named bellamy started development in 2012 and was originally called Acre Woods later to be modeled after the dark psychological story of Christopher Robin and the Hundred Acre Woods . A "rough" version of the film was completed in 2013 having an early screening at Cinema 21 in Portland, Oregon and was completed in early June of 2016.

"Its amazing to see a film manifest itselft into its own living, breathing creature."
